Summary

JAM Center is looking for a dedicated Facility Cleaning Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Although this is a behind the scenes role, it is crucial to operating at the highest level of integrity for JAM Center. Your work will not go unseen or under appreciated in this role! For this position, you will get on the job training by our Facility and Maintenance Manager.

Duties

Primary Functions:

• Clean and sanitize furniture, equipment, and frequently touched surfaces
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop flooring to maintain cleanliness
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, and other fixtures
• Restock supplies in bathrooms and classrooms as needed
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners; clean receptacles as necessary
• Clean window sills and windows to maintain visibility and appearance
• Dust, clean, and reset classrooms as needed to ensure a welcoming and sanitary environment
• Utilize all janitorial and facility equipment effectively and safely
• Properly label, dilute, and use various cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines and

manufacturer?s instructions

• Maintain all janitorial supplies and equipment in a clean, safe, and operational condition
• Communicate with the Facility and Maintenance Manager regarding building and inventory needs
• Coordinate with other team members as needed to ensure comprehensive coverage and efficient

operations

• Address arising or emergent facility janitorial needs promptly with accuracy and professionalism
• Wear proper safety equipment and/or personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure personal safety

and compliance with health standards

• Perform additional cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facility and Maintenance

Manager or as required by emergent needs within the Early Education department

• Participate in all required training, initiatives, and meetings
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; Good client/customer service skills
• Ability to follow auditory and written instructions
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work independently
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willingness to learn
